Frequently Asked Questions.
How does the £72 excess work? Instead of paying an open-ended £90+ hourly rate for an engineer to diagnose a fault, and then paying hundreds of pounds for the replacement part, our Tier 2 and Tier 3 plans strictly cap your risk. You pay a single, fixed £72 excess per fault, and we cover the rest—whether the part costs £50 or £300!
When does my cover start? Your cover plan begins the day you sign up, and we will contact you to arrange your initial inspection and service. Please note, to protect our pricing for all members, there is a 30-day “no-claim” period for breakdowns at the start of a new contract.
What happens if my boiler gets “sludged up”? Cover plans across the industry do not cover damage caused by poor water quality, scale, or sludge. If a part fails due to a blocked or sludged system, you will be quoted for the replacement part and a mandatory system power flush. However, as a plan member, you will receive an exclusive 10% discount on this work!
Do you cover Landlords? Yes! If you rent out a property, you can add our Landlord Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) bolt-on to any tier for just £2.50 a month. We will complete the legal checks alongside the annual service to keep you fully compliant.
